Peaks are slightly compressed, and the preamp brings out high-frequency harmonic overtones that bring out the articulation of the performance.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAt 18 volts, the LHZ provides a very transparent playing experience. Peaks are not compressed, and harmonic overtones require harder playing to achieve.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn general, 18volt operations is recommended in the following scenarios:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe performer feels like the LHZ (at 9 volts) is \u003cstrong\u003esquashing the tone\u003c\/strong\u003e. This is a symptom of a VERY aggressive playing style that continually pushes the LHZ into its non-linear zone. Moving to 18 volts will restore the headroom, and raises the ceiling where harmonic overtones start to occur.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eA more \u003cstrong\u003emodern and transparent\u003c\/strong\u003e tone is desired. 18 volts provides an excellent EQ that complements the bass, but minimizes the signature harmonic overtones.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe LHZ is paired with the \u003cstrong\u003eMID-03 midrange\u003c\/strong\u003e control.
